Confessions of A Working Girl

So...I joined an online coven. Not quite sure how that'll work in the long run, but they seem like nice people. It is hard to talk to people other than through email, since most of us are on different time zones. A coven is something I'd been thinking about joining for years, I just couldn't find one near where I live. Well...to be completely honest, I did hear about a few. But they were all strictly one sect of wicca, and since I like eclectisicm, I figured it would be best if I waited and found another group. This online group is very eclectic...

Anyway, so in the coven, people have been asking me to do tarot readings for them. I've done two so far, and will be doing a third later. The first one, she said it was pretty accurate to what was happening in her life. The second was a little skeptical of my interpretation, but didn't negate everything. And obviously, I haven't even done the third yet....

Tarot is one of those things that I'm of two minds about. I do think that the cards can predict the future, to an extent...but I also think that a lot of it is in the reading. Two readers can pull the same card and interpret it two different ways. It's like horoscope fortunes that way. It tends to stay general enough that it could fit any situation. Most of the time anyway. I do believe that sometimes it is what it claims to be. 

I am very wary of ouja boards, on the other hand. Those are far too easy to manipulate.
