Innocent Man

Posted by [email protected] on April 19, 2010 at 6:35 PM Comments comments (0)

I had  never been a huge fan of John Grisham–although I suppose I shouldn’t say that since the actual truth is, until recently, I had never read one of his books. Now I’m thinking I may want to try reading one…

Anyway, for my American Judicial Process class, we had to read The Innocent Man, by John Grisham. Less than a chapter into the book, and I was already horrified by how the case had been handled. Having just finished the book, I can only say that I a...

Running Around

Posted by [email protected] on March 10, 2010 at 10:30 PM Comments comments (0)

This semester is so busy! I know I’ve already complained about it before…

Running around getting field experience done, surveys done for my Research class, trying to finish my application to study abroad in Japan…

I know it’s not true, but I feel like I have so little free time! Maybe it’s because an hour or two here and there is not a really long time, and some things that I may want to do, I end up not because it feels like such a short time frame...

Why is technology so annoying?

Posted by [email protected] on February 28, 2010 at 6:30 PM Comments comments (0)

And in this case, when I say technology, I mean cars. Today when I got into my car to drive to school, I had one of those tape things–the things that go into the tape player of the car, but connect to your cd player or mp3 player so that’s what you’re listening to.

I don’t know if it was just my car or what…but it would. not. work. I got so mad! It would only let me listen to about five seconds of a song before it skipped, and/or stopped working.

I ...

Ten ways to tell that You're Tired

Posted by [email protected] on February 18, 2010 at 8:05 PM Comments comments (0)

10. You’re eating mushed up pears and you think, “Wow, this flavor…it’s so pear-like!”

9. You say something…five minutes later, you say what you think is something else, but your roommate says “You said that already.”

8. You look at your to-do list…half of the items are crossed off, but you don’t remember doing them.

7. You decide to pretend that your work isn’t there and go to bed at 9:00pm

6. You rem...

Crocheted Flowers

Posted by [email protected] on February 13, 2010 at 12:15 PM Comments comments (0)

Because tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, at Girlscouts we had a little Valentine’s Day party. I knew that the girls were going to be making Valentine’s Day cards, so I decided that I wanted to as well.

I crocheted little flowers for them. Since I didn’t really pay attention to time, I had to crochet about 7 of them last night. (It took at least 3/4 of the 1st Disc of the third season of the Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle)

Today at the party, one of the gi...

Always Leave Your Coat Within Grabbing Distance

Posted by [email protected] on January 29, 2010 at 8:05 AM Comments comments (0)

Last night, Vivien and I went to bed a little late because we were talking. So by the time we actually went to bed, it was around 1:00. Which isn’t too bad…except for the fact that around 3:15am we were woken by a loud noise and a flashing light. It was the fire alarm.

This is the second time I’ve been in the building when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. (The first time was last year) It is not fun. In fact, it can be miserable.

When the ala...

Just One Question/Confession Number 3

Posted by [email protected] on January 28, 2010 at 11:40 PM Comments comments (0)

Have you ever noticed that the more careful you are not to lose something, the easier it gets lost?

Confession 3: I do that all the time. I’ll put something (in this particular case, my laundry quarters) somewhere where I am sure that I will not lose them. Then, when I need them and go to look for them, they can’t be found!

It’s the lost sock in the dryer phenomenon, I think. And it’s a pain.

All's Well, but Busy

My grandfather’s back at his house now. From what I heard, he’s much better. I even talked to him on the phone today, and he sounded fine.  =)

The busy part I mentioned is my schedule. It’s a lot busier than any other semester so far. I know it doesn’t look terribly busy, but try doing it! And I still need to fill out the study abroad forms and find a program for Japan…the teacher said she’d help me with that on Thursday. I have an idea of what...

According to my aunt, dad, and grandma, my grandfather’s better. The test was postponed until tomorrow though.

Yesterday there was a girlscout meeting. Most of the girls didn’t say much about me coming back after break, but one of them was like “You’re back!”

Also, I found out that cookie orders weren’t neccessarily due yet, since we’re getting the cookies from a cookie cupboard–something new, I guess.

Smile

I don’t have any updates on my grandpa.

A few minutes ago, Paige called. Apparently she was walking to a party or something, and decided to call me while she walked. She’s done that a few times between this year and last, and it always makes me smile.
