Merry Samhain as well.^_^ Samhain is the wiccan new year, so I feel as if I should be writing out new years resolutions!   I won't though...every time I make new years resolutions I don't keep them very well, and then I feel bad about it. If I was going to make one, it would probably be to keep up this blog more, watch finances better, etc. The one thing I have managed in this past year is weight loss. Tonight, after dinner and presents, my dad and I brought my nana back to the nursing home type place where she now lives. It’s kind of sad to think that she’s getting old…but I’m afraid that it’s pretty obvious. My other set of grandparents, while older than my nana, are a lot more active, and don’t seem quite as old…even though, at this point, I think my grandfather is 86!

On the drive back, my dad and I were talking about it, and I remembere...

I wanted to see Ki as long as I was home for a couple of days. But it’s not going to happen.

Thanksgiving yesterday was hectic. A little after we ate dinner (but before dessert) I got a headache. That was bad enough. Then my stomach started hurting. I don’t know why…all I know is that it ended up in me being sick last night and not really wanting to do anything today. Well, I wanted to see Ki.

But if I am sick, I don’t want her to catch it. And even if ...

Vermont schools apparently all (or almost all) have a week off in the middle of October. My week off is this week, so I’m back home for now. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to see Ki! I really really hope so, ’cause recently I’ve realized that I’ve missed her more than I thought.

I wonder what it will be like next year then, when I won’t see her for a whole year, never mind a couple of months….

I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned where I was from, or where my school currently is. For the same reason I changed all the names. But each state is really big and has multiple colleges, so I feel safe saying that I’m currently in Vermont. And this weekend, I went to the Tembridge Fair.

Mini-holidays just aren’t what they used to be. I mean, I worked today. I didn’t even see my dad until 5:45 pm! But to most people and businesses, Sunday is no longer a sacred day, no longer a day of rest. And in a lot of ways, that’s too bad. People need to rest sometimes.
