This is today's picture of the day. ^_^

Oh, and the play ended up working out fine. I just panic and get annoyed too easily. They did apologixe for being late, after all. The other kids arrived, and the play was cute. Which is good...cast party for the kids next week. I saw their mom filming it, but will give them each a copy from what my brother filmed as well.

We went to visit...

Commitment and Courtesy

This year, the play hadn't been going so well. There were a total of five kids--two my sisters, and three siblings from another family. Two weeks ago last wednesday, they suddenly didn't show up for practice. Then, on friday, they said that they couldn't do wednesdays anymore. I try to be flexible, and of course I didn't say anything, but prior notice would have been nice! Then, today, they were supposed to get here at 2:30 for practice, so we could run through it once before the final play at... Read Full Post »

Chocolate is Bitter

I meant to write this on Wednesday, but I had a project due that night, and so got way busy finishing writing it…

Anyway, I bought a chocolate bar that was 85% cocoa. I’ve always read that chocolate with more cocoa in it–e.g. dark chocolate– is better for you.  But I didn’t expect it to be bitter. I took a bite and was immediately wide eyed. “This,” I thought “is chocolate?!”For the most part, the taste was a little foreign, t...

Computer Problems

The Staples near my house was having a “free pc checkup” type thing, so I thought “why not?” My computer had been really slow and stupid lately. So I dropped off the computer. Two days later, I get a phone call saying they checked it—and it had major security risks on it. That didn’t sound good! I use my computer to check my bank balance and credit card balance and stuff.

They said that they could take the security risk stuff off—for $89. I wa...

Does time really fly?

It certainly seems it! This summer has gone by so fast. There’s only three weeks left until school starts again! And the play has seemed so rushed this year. Today everyone volunteered what ‘props’ they could bring in. I’m going to buy materials and make the rest. For the three year old who plays the cat, I figured that I’d make a fish with a bell in it. Maybe that will be sufficient to keep her from being distracted. Although I’m not too too worried̷...

Internet Works Again!

Yes! Somehow or other my mom managed to fix the internet problem.

On another note, one less worry gone. The girl did want the part of the fox for the play. The “actors” for the play are all cute, but they need to speak louder or the audience will never hear them over the music.

A Clean Room is A Sign...

…that I finally got sick of tripping over stuff every time I walked into my room. And I was kinda curious about what stuff I actually have in my room. And ok, the whole room, isn’t clean, just the entry way. But it’s a start, right? Plus, I got one of my friends to promise to help me clean. Yes!

Oh, did I ever mention that I work in a visitor’s center? Well, I do, summers anyway. And I was working on July 3rd. I couldn’t believe it…4000 people came ...
