Is it December yet?

They're already playing Christmas songs on the radio. >.<
Today was relatively exhausting. I met a classmate at 9 to go over the presentation we were presenting at 9:30. So of course I didn't wake up until almost 8:45, and had to miss breakfast. Then class till 10:45 and straight to another class that wasn't over till 12:30, even though that second class was supposed to end at 12:15. Some kid flipped out on the teacher, because she was saying that his group's presentation didn't have enough information. Then my group had a meeting with that same teacher. We all complain jokingly, but she is a nice teacher.
My group has been having scheduling issues, which is one thing we mentioned to her. I understand that both of my group members are giving something up in order that we can meet more often. But I can't give up work. What I'm making currently already doesn't cover the monthly bills I have, so there's absolutely no way that I can cut back on that...
That meeting went a lot longer than I thought, and didn't end until 1:30. Which gave me just enough time to run back to my room, change books and make it to class for 2. No lunch either. Class till 3:15, then workstudy 3:30 till 6. I finally got to eat around 6:30. It's probably bad of me, considering how much work we still have to do, but I'm hoping that my groupmate who has class ends up having to stay the whole time. Then we won't have to meet for groupwork tonight. And I can do my spanish homework! I'm certainly not going to have time to do it tomorrow, since the group will be meeting every spare moment of the day...
So I reiterate. Is it December yet? Can I be done with this exhausting life claiming group project?
November 12 Entry

So obviously, since it's like 12:20am, I missed posting an entry on 11/12. But as the title says, I'm going to count it anyway, since I haven't gone to bed yet.
Also, I have a good reason for not posting. I spent 5 1/2 hours stuck in the library after class to work on a group project. 5pm to 10:45pm. >.< And we're not even half done...
Anyway, the picture of the dragon shaped cloud that I saw earlier today when I spent an hour sitting outside in preparation for being cooped up and working on the group project with my group:

Since I started doing things online, half the time I've used a fake name. Well, at this point I feel as if it's a second name for me, another layer to who I am. Gwenllian Morcant. And I did put some thought into picking that name. Gwenllian is from the same family of names as my actual name, and Morcant means "sea circle" which I thought was nice, since I've grown up living next to the ocean.
But in any case, I thought it was funny. I did a search on my actual name, and there was one result on the first page that was actually in reference to me. I did a search on "Gwenllian Morcant"...and the entire first page of the google search was all things that I've done!
Mostly amazon reviews, and posts on comics, but still.

Somehow...the tighter the deadline is, and the more work that I have to get done, the less I care, and the more I procrastinate. Whereas, if there's only a little work, then I tend to do it soonest and get it over with.
I don't know why...but I do know I may end up breaking my "post once a day" thing, since homework is being that stupid. I'm being that stupid. Somehow, I am again as listless as I was at the beginning of last year...I don't even want to read sometimes. ![]()

Had to go to Burlington today, to do an interview for a group project in one of my classes. (Of course, my group came with me...and I'm glad I didn't have to drive) We passed by the teddy bear factory, which reminded me that I want to go there at some point.
On the way back, we stopped at McDonalds. I got a happy meal. And an eggnog milkshake. That time of year is here! For eggnog. ^_^
It looks like they've brought the boxes back. So yay! Because the boxes are so much more fun than paper bags. I got a little skateboard toy with mine. The other choice was my little petshop and I was like
no way.

But, maybe because now they also put a teeny bag of apple slices in? But look how small the french fries container is!

Not that I really needed more french fries than that anyway, but still...Kids meals actually aren't horrible. Without a drink, the cheeseburger, fries and apple slices are about 415 calories. Tons of sodium in them though...

So I finally know exactly what I'm going to do come December. First, I'm going to call my summer job and see if they'll take me back. Then I am going to apply to be a Spanish teacher at the local schools.
My eventual goal has not changed, I still want to go back to Japan and teach English there. But first I need to pay off the school so I can actually get my degree, then I need to pay off at least some of the loans. Then I need to convince Ki to come to Japan with me. ![]()
OK, so I know that that last one probably won't happen...or if it does, she probably won't stay. But hey, it's worth a try...and anyway, that's in the future, a bit.

It's only been five days, and I'm already thinking about how hard it is to post an entry a day.
Only thing interesting that happened today was that I missed french class. That's the class I have at 8am. I was so mad at myself too...it's the first class I've missed since starting college. But I didn't wake up until after class would have started...and since my ears were ringing and I had a headache, I just went back to sleep. The ringing in my ears was so bad that I wouldn't have been able to hear the teacher anyway, much less speak at a normal volume.
I made it to my 10am class, at least!

After work, I was playing a video game all day, so I forgot to post this earlier. On my way back through campus, I saw that there were a couple of things that seemed a little out of place. I couldn't decide if there were a lot of drunk kids last night, or if there had been very strong wind.

One of these lights is not like the other...

It must be hard to sit on benches when they're tilited like this...

The library where I work near school just got their front steps redone. I can't seem to find a before picture...but I did get an under construction picture last week

The second picture I took today. Apparently they are also going to add in lights, but at least the steps are useable again!
